The son of the necromancer

By Mario Cerda

In a land where the gods still whisper through the wind, and the sages keep secrets hidden in sacred caves and forgotten codices, a young man inherits the most dangerous mission of his time: to preserve ancestral wisdom before the world forgets it forever.
Tzilacatzin, son of a powerful Pur pecha necromancer and an ancient warrior, is marked by destiny after a supernatural experience that connects him with the sacred knowledge of the native peoples. Guided by the priestess Chimalma, the young man becomes the last bearer of the teachings of the sages of his land.
But his body is also a prison for a silent enemy: the spirit of an inquisitor friar trapped within him. If he does not manage to free himself in time, he will lose not only his identity but also the chance to fulfill his duty.
Hunted by nahuales and creatures from the underworld. Guided by animal spirits and ancient guardians of the mountains, Tzilacatzin embarks on an initiatory journey filled with trials, revelations, and encounters with the divine.
The Son of the Necromancer is a novel that weaves together historical fiction with Mexican mythology, ancestral magic, and a deep reflection on memory, love, and cultural resistance. Perfect for readers seeking epic, mystical, and spiritual tales set during the darkest times of New Spain, where the indigenous spirit still fights to remain alive in the heart of the land.
