Fascinating research and conclusions applicable to modern society

I found this book in a used bookstore, and found it surprisingly interesting to read (considering the textbook-style presentation). Even though the book is thirty years old, the author's conclusions seem to have stood the test of time. I found it a fascinating window into how individual marriages interact with the larger fabric of society.
