Our democratic voting system is heralded as one of the greatest achievements of modern civilization. Wars have been fought, blood has been shed, and many have died to ensure our right to vote. Yet, we need not look further than the daily news to see the serious threats democratic voting systems face. In this book, we re-examine the current social contract and develop suggestions for improvement. Delegative/Liquid democracy is a powerful voting model for collective decision-making. It combines the advantages of Direct Democracy and Representative Democracy, creating a truly democratic voting system that empowers voters to either vote on issues directly or delegate their voting power to a trusted party.
