When their firstborn children suddenly start falling ill, Bobby, Martin, and Akin are almost certain that whatever is wrong with their children is connection is connected to their past. Twenty years before the story began, four friends went to West Africa to find out what fortune awaited them in the future. Akin's uncle, Chief Dapo Thomas take the four friends on a trip to a village with magical hills. They met Chief Olofin who blessed them and told them of events to come.

Jason is a childless billionaire who decided he would never have children because he suspects that the past would one day come to hunt his children. Fate however had another thing planned for Jason and he could never have imagined what was coming. He had fallen in love with his friend's wife and would later learn true forgiveness.

Jason would go to a great extent to save his friends and their children. But Jason soon finds that the weight of saving the world from a major plague would rest on his shoulder. Jason would go to any extent to succeed in his quest and he is prepared to kill. There is a secret his intelligent mind figured out once the events began to unfold.

The four must return on a road once traveled to fix what was broken. Although it seemed there were forces beyond them working against them, the events were mere coincidences but the curse was real.

One of the friends is a traitor and Jason is hiding his true identity from his friends.
