The best true account of mental illness I've ever read
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 22 years ago
Okay, I may be a bit biased as this book was written by my grandmother, but I truly learned a lot about not only my grandmother but about her mental illness. By the time I was born, the medical profession had changed the way they dealt with manic depressives and I was not aware of my grandmother's mental illness until she wrote this book. She was the most amazing woman and this book just touches the surface of her wonderful life. It is a sad thing that she is no longer with us to share her stories of her life. However, my grandfather is still alive at 98 and still working at his law offices and in his garden. But not a day goes by that he doesn't miss Kay. Do yourself a favor and read this book and share it with everyone you know.
