Seventeen-year-old Skye Bennette has Thanatophobia, an intense and irrational fear
of death. Anything can trigger a panic attack; crossing the street, mistakenly eating
an unhealthy dish, being subjected to germs, or even being around reckless people.
The sky was pink that Monday morning- and even though she's aware it's a bad sign-
she still barges into the chemistry lab at school to save Adam Hayes, consequently
having a panic attack. Her mind becomes aware he's dangerous for her well-being,
but when they get paired for a school project, she is left at a greater risk.
But Skye is compelled with the way he expresses himself using colors only. And the
more time she spends with him, the less she feels afraid. One thing she wasn't
prepared for, the feelings that come along and the shocking discovery that threatens
her existence. Now, Skye has to decide whether to stay and risk it all for love, or to
let him go. And the worst part? He's fighting demons of his own, and there's one
thing he can't protect her from; himself.
