The Silent Alibi
The truth was written before the murder ever happened.
When wealthy Edmund Briarwood is found stabbed inside his locked study, Detective Mara Ellison expects a difficult investigation. What she finds instead is something far more disturbing: a perfectly prepared alibi, written and sealed before Briarwood's death was even discovered.
Then the contradictions begin.
A missing witness. A mysterious woman named Eleanor Merrick. Evidence that has been deliberately replaced. A storage locker that someone is desperate to erase. And a trail of lies stretching from Briarwood Manor into the darkest corners of the city.
As Mara follows the clues, she discovers that the murder is only one piece of a carefully constructed conspiracy-and that someone has anticipated every move the police might make.
The closer Mara gets to the truth, the more dangerous the investigation becomes. Witnesses vanish. Records are destroyed. Evidence disappears. And somewhere in the shadows, someone is watching her.
Because this isn't simply a case of who killed Edmund Briarwood.
It's a question of who created the alibi-and why they needed the truth to stay silent.
The Silent Alibi is a gripping mystery of deception, conspiracy and hidden identities, where every piece of evidence could be another carefully constructed lie.
