The Silence Of Heaven
Before the war in heaven, there was a silence.
For ages beyond measure, heaven knew only harmony. The hosts sang. The archangels served. The will of the Creator was unquestioned, and every voice joined in perfect worship before the Throne.
Among the countless angels is Amitiel, a young singer content to be one thread in heaven's eternal song. But when Lucifer, the Anointed Cherub and brightest of all created beings, begins asking questions no angel has dared to ask, that harmony begins to fracture.
Why does the Creator command without explanation?
Why must trust stand where understanding ends?
And why does heaven itself seem to grow silent?
As questions spread through the heavenly courts, friendships are tested, loyalties are divided, and a conflict unlike any other begins to take shape. Michael watches for a threat he cannot yet name. Gabriel carries answers that few are willing to receive. Reuel struggles to save a friend slipping beyond his reach. And Lucifer, once the greatest among the host, finds himself standing at the center of a growing movement that could change eternity forever.
The Silence of Heaven is the gripping first installment of The War Before Time, an epic biblical fantasy trilogy that imagines the events leading to Lucifer's rebellion and the first war ever fought.
Some battles begin with a sword.
This one began with a question.
