After reading "The Sigma Project" I have to say I found it right up there with "The Da Vinci Code" in that it was fast moving, informative and an excellent medical thriller. Dr. Stern brought characters to life right from the first page and wrote medical language that could be easily understood by any lay person. An excellent fast moving read that I highly recommend.

SAIC an organization with the CIA developed some of these mind control drugs to control out of bounds US citzens. Butner FCI,Butner, NC is the federal incarceration facility that experiments on its prisoners/inmates with these drugs.

--Fredric Stern has written a gripping story of intrigue and suspense. In the late 1950s, the CIA developed sophisticated new drugs to help brainwash foreign enemies, but the program proved too risky and ultimately too dangerous, so orders were given to shut it down.
