An excellent devotion book for 10-12 year olds

I teach fifth grade in a Christian school and have used this book for class devotions. Jensen uses a fictional character to retell many stories of Jesus' life and teachings according to Luke's gospel. Despite the fictional character, the details of Jensen's retellings are extremely faithful to the Scriptures, and help the listeners/readers of his devotionals to develop a vivid picture of the context of each passage. My class responded very positively to this book. The meditations go beyond trite moralistic summarizations of Scripture (which are so common in other children's devotion books) to discuss issues of faith and what it truly means to be a disciple of Christ. I would highly recommend this book to parents and teachers of fourth to sixth graders.
