During the time of the COVID-19 Pandemic, a librarian falls in love with a beautiful small-town bakery owner, and he starts a life-long romance. But along the way, he finds himself caught up in an insane conflict between the bakery staff and a dark and sinister government defense contractor.

With the intention of creating a new chemical weapon, the contractor's agents try to force the bakery into revealing the secret recipe for their sugar cookies that are alleged to have hallucinogenic properties.

It's a hilarious, over-the-top comedy, in the tradition of Garrison Keillor and Jean Shepherd, seasoned with a touch of Alice in Wonderland.
