The Shark of Chicago
The Shark of Chicago
In Chicago, the game of pool is about more than skill-it is about reputation, money, loyalty, ambition, and survival.
Charles "Slim" Wilson is a legendary pool shark whose suave style, confidence, and calculated approach have made him one of the most respected players in the city. Marcus "Diablo" Bowman is younger, brash, ambitious, and determined to build a future on his own terms. Stanley "Rocket" Jones, once a promising athlete, finds himself pulled into Chicago's dangerous world of hustling and gangsterism after tragedy changes the course of his life.
Their worlds collide as a major billiard tournament is created to raise money for college scholarships. What begins as a charitable competition quickly becomes a high-stakes battle for money, recognition, and the coveted title of "The Shark of Chicago." With some of the city's finest players entering the competition, every match brings new pressure-and the difference between victory and defeat can have consequences far beyond the pool table.
Along the way, love and desire complicate the lives of these men and the women around them. Romance, family ties, street alliances, betrayal, violence, and personal ambition become increasingly intertwined as the championship draws closer.
For Slim, Marcus, and Rocket, the game is never simply about winning a pool match. It is about who they are, what they want, and what they are willing to risk to get it.
In a city where everyone is playing a game, only one can become the Shark of Chicago.
