The Shalimar Conspiracy
When a young woman is found dead inside her hostel room in Shalimar, Inspector Aadil Rahman expects another difficult investigation.
Instead, he finds a case that refuses to behave like a normal murder.
The crime scene contains contradictions. The timeline has gaps. Four crucial minutes have disappeared from the hostel's CCTV recording. And somewhere in the final days of the victim's life lies a secret she was desperate to uncover.
Then a mysterious phone number appears.
A secret meeting points toward an old printing shop near Howrah's railway goods yard.
And evidence begins suggesting that someone may have been preparing the narrative of the crime before the investigation had even begun.
Aadil is joined by Dr. Ahana Banerjee, a forensic officer whose attention to detail reveals disturbing inconsistencies others have missed. Together with his small team, he begins pulling apart a web of secrets that stretches far beyond the hostel room.
But every discovery creates another question.
Who was the victim really afraid of?
Why was someone so determined to control the investigation?
Why do the missing minutes matter?
And how far will someone go to make sure the truth never reaches the surface?
As pressure builds around the case and the investigation takes an increasingly dangerous turn, Aadil realises that he may not simply be hunting a murderer.
He may be uncovering a conspiracy.
And somewhere inside that conspiracy is a truth someone has spent years making sure remains hidden.
The Shalimar ConspiracyA tense Indian crime mystery about murder, secrets, manipulation and the dangerous search for the truth.
Some truths refuse to stay buried.
