The Shadow of War

Between 2023 and 2026, as the conflict between Iran and Israel spiraled out of control, the lives of a few ordinary people became unexpectedly tangled. In Tehran, an intelligence analyst named Majid Karimi and a history professor, Nargis, were left picking up the pieces after an airstrike on the Natanz facility killed Nargis's husband, Farhad. Hundreds of miles away in Haifa, IDF analyst Rina Kahlon dealt with her own private grief after a missile strike took the life of her partner, Yuval. Meanwhile, in Lebanon, a Hezbollah leader named Aayan Al-Habs watched Beirut crumble while trying desperately to keep his family alive.
Instead of letting the war harden them into enemies, these four found themselves connected by a shared grief. Walking away from their jobs and their factions, they decided to build something together: a cross-border alliance called "Bridges of Peace." By focusing on and documenting the real, everyday toll the war took on women and children, they tried to show that empathy might actually be the only thing capable of breaking the cycle.
