A book of imense imagination and power

I have read this book many times over since the first time I read it in 1980 as a youth. Every time it has the same effect. I feel as if I am the main character, Fernfeather, in that strange unending universe of solid rock. I feel that I too must escape and it is me that sees the sun for the first time and experiences the victories of exploring a new and alien world with out walls. This is a book that will leave your imagination reeling. Read it!
