This is a permutation of fiction and nonfiction romantic short story of Ben, a teacher, who assumed he had found true love after meeting with Ify, the Lecturer. Ify was a female envoy sent from a clandestine group to rake havoc in many households. She commenced her operation in the Church by handling special presentations in songs every Sunday, and frequently donating gifts eagerly to people, more especially married men and single brothers. She fooled Ben into the belief that she was pious, humble, and cultured; until certain horrible measures arose and unravel her identity. Prior to the time that Ben went to visit Ify at her dwelling, two concerned neighbors, Magi and Joy, counseled him to abstain from any form of immoral relationship after narrating their disheartening and incredible dreams in succession. But, he snubbed the suggestions, believing he was on a safer side. Unfortunately, his rapport with Ify literally punctured a number of holes in his brain-it was indeed the most grievous tragedy of an era. On the process, he lost his appointment with the School and was also jailed for 'attempted rape' leveled by his lover, Ify, in the Magistrate Court.
