Its shame this book is out of print!

I saw this book listed over at the Long Riders Guild web page and went in search of it. I'll probably never get to travel across the world, at the time-frame in which this family of 5 set off is an auspicious one: The fall of the soviet union, the break up of the eastern bloc, A first-hand view of the violent secession of Slovenia from Yugoslavia. All seen while traveling in a caravan pulled by a horse. The trials and tribulations of family life are not glossed over either. While I don't doubt that the book is an edited version of thier daily journals, and the book hints that it is, nothing seems to feel as if it was glossed over for other than maintaining a modicum of privacy.
