. Here is Earnest Thibault Seiger, a traveler, the tale of whose journey is inspired by the seven mystic valleys depicted by Bah 'u'll h. It is not an interpretation. It is a presumption. Possibly arrogant, it is intended modestly. It is an exploration of the meaning of that scripture told in the idiom and parlance of a Westerner who may desire the familiar features of her or his life in the telling. Every effort, however, has been made to consider each particular from the inspiring text. And, those familiar with that will recognize elements from the "first fire", to the spider and the phoenix, to camphored wine to a lost ring, sometimes in unexpected ways, but always with seriousness, humor and introspection.
. It will be important to some whether this work is an acceptable treatment of the work of Baha'u'llah. What I can tell you is the Baha'i Review Office of the National Spiritual Assembly of the U.S. approved it (note, "approved", they do not endorse any work.) for publication with enthusiasm for which this writer was amazed and deeplygrateful.
. So, grab a cup of your favorite, have a copy of The Seven Valleys by Baha'u'llah at hand if you have one, and board the train with Earnest Seiger for a fantastic mystical journey to a succession of seven stops, each with its own lesson for him and all who are with him.
