pretty good for a kid

I read the book awhile ago and found it to be interesting yet peculiar as well. [ It is September 1939, and war has been declared. Maureen is sent to a strange school in Scotland, and finds her new classmates not only unfriendly--they have a secret society from which they exclude her. Left alone, Maureen discovers secrets of her own, about the standing stone and the mysterious stranger in the bracken ] I would recommend it to children

This book shows great imagination on the authors part and is a great read for any age! I love the mystery of the school and the storyline.
