This journey takes the reader from Subic Bay, Philippines, to Southern California, to Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Marseille, France. It's a story of adventure, recounting the author's efforts in the 1980s to search for a mechanism to break the light barrier (warp drive). At the time, the research surrounding superluminal travel was a "cottage industry" in the physics community, hence the author encountered household names in physics and others who would become Nobel laureates. It's a story of perseverance, trial, and failure, and of fighting through depression, friendship, and decision. But mostly, this is a story of the greatest endeavor in life--seeking and finding God. The story is also about the author's encounters with the Boston Movement and with the same movement in its early days in San Diego, California.
