Mike Graves provides an approach to homeletics which considers first the Biblical text and its own form, and urges the preacher to consider the way the Biblical text tells its story while crafting their sermons, and let the text dictate the form. A sound homeletical heremaneutic is presented, as well as several sample sermons of different forms from the Biblical text. An excellent preaching textbook, and a necessary reference for 21st Century preaching.
