hilarious without foregoing the important social commentary

I first read this during my undergraduate orientation, day 1. Feeling alone as a Black student on a predominantly white campus, this book was exactly what I needed that week. It is unapologetically hilarious and bizarre at times, but with every page you think "wow, it really be like that, though." I've since had tons of other people read this because of the powerful commentary embedded in the story, and also the superb storytelling. This book is a must for every social justice advocate out there.
