W.B. Yeats and his wife Georgie engaged in automatic writing throughout their marriage. This activity was initiated by Georgie as a marital aid, but became a source of great inspiration for Yeats's work. "The Selected Poems of WB8S" arose from readings of Yeats's verse by the poet himself and by contemporary scholars and fans. These readings, available on YouTube, were processed through Google's automated speech transcription. The computational translations were copied and set in meter to match the original poem stanzas.
