The Secrets of Port Cave
Prologue
The moon, dressed in black on a night shrouded in shadow and deep silence, allowed that group of men to go unnoticed by the eyes of the world.
The small boat danced to the rhythm of gentle waves, as if it knew that on this particular night, resilience was not an option.
The crates were meticulously transported, one by one, into the small boat with great care, suggesting that their contents were either valuable or fragile.
The three men, of different ages, worked together almost mechanically, hinting that this was not their first time carrying out such a task.
Once inside the boat, the men prepared to leave the cove as silently as they had arrived, taking the precious cargo with them.
A shadow retreated slowly, keeping watch over the operation. The men signaled to him, finally abandoning the beach for good.
No one would have guessed that, hours later, a man's body would be washed ashore by the tide onto that same beach.
