She obtained a M.Ed. in Literacy Instruction (First Class Honors) from the University of the West Indies and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Education - PhD with research emphasis on Literacy Development through STEAM Education. She was a public-school literacy specialist at the elementary and secondary levels for 14 years. She currently serves as a lecturer at The Mico University College, in the Department of Language, Literacy and Literature where she facilitates both graduate and under-graduate teachers in training. She is a STEAM Educator, certified by the Texas Computer Education Association and an International Instructor for Teaching English as a Second Language, certified by The World TESOL Academy. She is also the founder of Customized Solutions in Education and the content creator for its YouTube Literacy Skills Development Channel. Mrs. Reynolds served as Guest Editor in Chief at the Institute of Technology and Educational Research (ITER) where she received one of The Mico University College's Torch Bearer Award for Writing and Publication in 2023-2024 and another for Research and Publications 2024- 2025.
About the Illustrator : Young Ms. Amanda Reynolds is the multi- talented 16 year old daughter of the author. She began drawing the scenes for this story from she was thirteen years old. Amanda's natural love for art, animation and graphic design moved her to spend her holidays drafting outlines for the background of each scene, sketching then defining the overlay for each character and support items, applying multi- phased digital colouring techniques and infusing relevant shading and lighting details for a polished gestalt finish Amanda's dedication and passion for art as a hobby, translated to innovative illustrations demonstrates a deeper meaning towards the objectives of this series; to embolden and inspire children to use their knowledge, experiences and talents for creative innovations that will leave a positive impact on individuals, families, communities and even nations.
