This book does not seem to be very popular amongst the various study books though it should be. It's a shame it's not more popular because it really is a very simple, easy, effective, and quickly applicable system. I have read Wood Smethurst's Study Power and Adam Robinson's What Smart Students Know, and I don't particularly like either one because they are both too complicated and time consuming to apply. Marshall's isn't like that. It doesn't take long to learn or apply when you are studying, unlike Smethurst who would have you taking boucoup notes and constantly rereading them, or Robinson who would have you spend twenty minutes on a page asking a billion questions, writing notes on it, and then later rewriting them three more times. Simple is effective. It's not perfect, and it won't get you to completely and thoroughly understand and learn a subject, but it will help you tremendously in getting A's, and that, despite what teachers would like to hear, is really more important in highschool when you're trying to get into college, and college when you're trying to get into grad. school or get the highest paying job you can. Marshall is simple, easy, and pretty effective, and he doesn't get wishy-washy into making you think you REALLY need to COMPLETELY learn this useless material that your grade depends on.
