The beginning of a great series!

The main characters in this book are colorful and quirky, not at all Hallmark movie folks. They have dealt with harsh realities in their lives and so are grateful to find themselves living in Miracle Springs, North Carolina. I am a lifelong reader and am always delighted to find a new author with a book that is as good a read as this one, and delighted to find that she has written many more! This is among the best of the "cozy mystery" genre. I have read her next four books (all highly recommended) and I can honestly say that I feel right at home in Nora's bookstore, Miracle Books. As a teacher and a writer, I also like all the quotes throughout these well-plotted mysteries, and appreciate her book recommendations, too!
