A shaky debut

The writing creates what would culminate as teenage characters rather than adult characters, and most things people wouldn’t say in real life conversations. Some words and topics in the novel (I.e. how they’re handled) are cringey. Nothing is really memorable. It reads like a hallmark movie that you would watch in passing, but not actually pay close attention to.
