Romance scam is growing all over the world. Attractive women or men send friend requests on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and other dating sites. Once the client (the victim) has approved this request, he or she is quickly transferred to another chat platform like Hangouts, WhatsApp or Telegram. The scamming process has started. In the worst case the victim will never find out that the attractive person on the pictures or on the video calls has a second face, mostly a black one or that the attractive woman in reality is a man. Fake lover's oaths and so-called formats lead the victim into a one-way street from where a return to normal live becomes nearly impossible because the scammers will not give up before they get what they want: money. We (AKOMA NTOSO - The linked hearts) decided to write this book to show what romance scam is, how it works, who the victims are, who the scammers are and the different possibilities of scam and the causes behind this phenomenon and an exciting insight into the real world of scammer groups like the Yahoo Boys in Nigeria or the Illuminati in Ghana. This book is intended to educate people all over the world regarding the process of romance scam and thus to act preventively against love scams on the Internet by providing first-hand background knowledge.
