The Search

When Ellen Morgan discovers the three men who murdered her family have never been apprehended due to the absence of clues, she starts her own search for them. Detective Hillery has been given the task of re-opening the case and is frustrated by the lack of help from Ellen. She only gives him small, non-imortant 'tid-bits' during her interview and he is sure she knows more than she is telling him. He also realizes his feelings for Ellen are growing. As the story develops, we are introduced to the killers: two, very dangerous men; 'Snake' Ballentine and Lenny Swan, and their simple friend, Rosie Morris (Billy-Billy Boy, so called by his controlling mother.) During flashbacks into the men's thoughts and past, we realize Ellen's life is in great peril. Her methodical search and involvement with the killers leads her on a hazardous path to an exciting conclusion.
