Lorenzo vows to bring his virgin bride home--you do not say no to a Santangeli Once she's back she'll be his completely, and he is determined to enjoy every minute of it....
I've enjoyed other books in the "Forced to Marry" series, but Sara Craven's contribution to it disappointed me. There was little romance. It was not particularly steamy. I did not relate to the characters, the incredibly fearful Marisa or the arrogant playboy Lorenzo. Their fallacies were detailed ad nauseum. Repetitive. Ineffective. I was appalled by the callousness of Marisa's deflowering and all her angst excruciatingly overdone. Lorenzo's attitude regarding infidelity was off-putting, but not atypical of romance novels. Sometimes a bit of jealousy enhances a story line; I did not find that to be true in this situation, as it was overt act by Lorenzo. I found fault with the family dynamics and the stereotypical values of the Santangeli family. The event designed to bring the protagonists together in the end was unsavory. I found some satisfaction in the wrap-up, as the conclusion wasn't a total giveaway. It was a relief for this reader.
