The Sanctuary Contract: A Case for Privatized Peacekeeping Aid

Written in 2022, this paper was a corrosive, frustrated response to
the structure of postwar global order - or lack thereof.
It asks the question of decentralizing the legitimate authority to
use military force across borders.
Of upending the monopoly on teeth, rooted in chains to the
absolute veto of five figureheads in the UN Security Council.

A broken system from the ground up.
What if there was something else we could turn to, in times of crisis?
A different authority, a different body - detached from statehood or
relations or every other excuse countries give to avoid stepping in the
fire? A tribe beyond the palace walls who held just as many swords?

The ideas proposed here are rife with potential calamity too - but what
is ever perfect? Especially on this rock.

And the paper won an award for best in my class, so I
thought it might be worth sharing.

But this is all theoretical. And more than a bit crazy.
Nobody would actually do this.

Nobody has the stones.
