The author analyzes first century works such as the letters of Paul, the Dialogue of the Savior, Joseph & Asenath, the Gospel of Thomas, the Jewish Christian gospels, and spiritual leaders of the time from Menander to Basilides, Cerinthus, and Saturnilus to find the Roman Christian Community out-of-step with the broad consensus of Christians from Egypt to Palestine to Syria and beyond which held that Jesus was a human being who channeled a divine being in the latter part of his life called 'the Son of Man' and used an Egyptian meditation technique called the psychomantium as a mystery school teacher to guide people in soul travel to their higher self, their spark of the divine which was called the Primal Adam. Munter uses the Samaritan Massacre from Josephus, the Slavonic Josephus which was an early Samaritan Christian interpolation, and the Gospel of Peter to provide a fuller background, more correct detail, and a more rational timeline for the Crucifixion. The book explores mainly what could be called 'Bridal Chamber Christianity' and ends with fifty pages dedicated to a timeline of what happened and when in the first three centuries of Christianity which includes dating for the early texts.
