This book in the omnibus edition of the adventures of Percy Fieldmouse and the Springfield Farm Gang (SFG).
Four books in the series have been published, and this version contains all four stories in one hardback edition.
The story relates to the adventures of Percy, his brothers and sisters, all of whom live at Springhill Farm, and Percy meeting Cornelia, another mouse from a wooded and wild area on the farm known as Bunkers, inhabited and ruled by terror by the Rat Brothers, nasty villains who use intimidation and violence on the animal population of the area. Percy and later his girlfriend Cornelia become trapped in the farmhouse, but they escape when the family invade the house, only for Cornelia to be captured and kidnapped by the Rat Brothers. Percy and Cornelia's family plan and execute a rescue with the unwitting help of the SFG and their dog - Jock.
The story ends with the construction of a raft on Bunkers Pond and the mishaps of the children and their father.
