Urpi has lost her mother and baby brother in a devastating earthquake. Her father, the chieftain of the village, is torn between duty and grief, and they may have to leave the village.

Until Urpi has a dream. She is visited by the gods, and is told she is the chosen one and she must make the ultimate sacrifice in order to save her world.

She must convince her father and the villagers. She is met, at first, with derision, but Urpi is smart and has an intellect beyond her years. She convinces everyone that this is something she must do.

So begins a journey of discovery. Of friendship and love.
