This is good!

As someone who has never been in a relationship, but is preparing to be in one, this book was very helpful. Thomas addresses audiences like me, who have yet to be in a relationship, as well as those who area already in one. He is clear about citing scripture of God's design for marriage and pointing all of his statements back to Christ. This book is packed with challenging questions that are important for an individual and couples to answer before entering into marriage. The greatest theme in the book is comparing the "why" of marriage with the "who." Who we marry matters only because of why we marry. If we did not marry to honor God, then it would not matter who we marry, because the man or woman we marry would not be expected to honor God, and neither would we. However, marriage is an image of Christ, so there are standards to uphold when walking into the season of marriage, and Thomas does an excellent job of clarifying those standards and the nuances of each. Overall, highly recommend this book!

A MUST READ for Christians

As a Christian/Catholic in a long-term relationship, I found the Sacred Search incredibly enlightening!! It emphasizes the importance of the decision to marry and provides practical tools for discernment of potential spouses. I am lending this book to every young Jesus follower I know!
