The Route 17 Bus

Alan Farmer, bus driver for the MBTA, deals with the public, his bosses, and the unknown as he drives his bus Route 17. His world is a challenging place where he is called upon to handle the usual and unusual of his job. Meet the 'Day Riders', a group of regulars who become like family, watch him handle management's demands, and see how Boston traffic throws up roadblocks even on a normal day.

In the space of four weeks he will crash into a building (on purpose), answer wild questions from the public, and be responsible for taking high level politicians on a ride around Boston. Along the way he is chosen to be "Mr. On-Time" with his picture plastered around the city. His reputation and popularity gets him selected to represent the T in a bus rodeo.
