Often times we have been wounded in life. Some offenses have come with and without intention. There is a methodical process in which things take where they are able to grow and flourish. It can be a plant, tree, garden, or any act of "planting" we do in order to get a harvest. So it is with hurt. We have all experienced hurt from some source of another, whether it be from a friend or foe, family member or associate. No matter who it has been, offenses have come. What I have found to be the deepest of my experiences with hurt is the encounter with rejection. It is here that we as humans have handed over our self-esteems to be measured by those of authorized powers. It is with the offense of rejection that I have felt the worse pain, betrayal, and development of negative patterns and cycles. If you have ever heard this saying, "let's get to the bottom of all this, " when something happens; you will enjoy this book. The Root of Rejection has been written to provoke individuals to search their hearts and minds and identify hidden hurts that have laid dormant and been silent hindrances without your knowing it. The Root of Rejection is going to give you the opportunity to put your heart on trial and enter into a place of recognition, forgiveness, acceptance, and change. Growth always has a root, and in disconnecting any living plant or tree from its root, it dies.
