The Roofers

Introduction begins in the early 1970's and continues through the mid to late 1980's. The goal is to express the business, personal and the human side of each union associate, starting with the Business Manager, Business Agents, Shop Stewards and the Local 30 Union members. The Roofers were a group of men who didn't have to use weapons to get a point across. Many were professional fighters; all were street wise. The story talks about associations with other Union leaders, Politicians, Mafia, along with Attorneys and Judges. Based on information obtained, the story has a presence of the good ole days using past statistics, past present particulars and present knowledge on where the thirteen union officials are today. With intense chapters for the reader, it unfolds like a "Martin Scorsese" movie, giving the reader a view of the men and their standpoint with dialogue, that comes to life with a sense of reality grabbing the reader as if they were present.
