The arrogance of a king drives a powerful witch to cast a terrible curse upon his daughter.
The princess's childhood and part of her adolescence are carefully protected by her mother, who does everything in her power to shield both her child and the king from the fate the witch foretold. But despite her efforts, the curse is eventually fulfilled.

A white roe deer appears in the kingdom, and the king-hungry for vengeance and lacking all compassion-orders her to be killed. Dozens of hunters follow him in search of their prey. Meanwhile, the animals of the forest, allies of the doe, try desperately to save their friend and their home, for humans bring nothing but fear and misfortune wherever they tread.

A fairy tale that reflects on the role of women in the High Middle Ages and on the importance of caring for nature and the creatures that inhabit it.
