The Robin's Greeting

I loved the first two books from the Amish Greenhouse Mystery series and was excited to have the opportunity to read The Robin's Greeting. I was far from being disappointed. I enjoyed catching up with the characters. It was great getting involved into another mystery and I was intrigued all of the way through. I loved it. I am giving The Robin's Greeting a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy reading Amish Fiction, as well as, mystery and suspense. It was great! I received a paperback copy of The Robin's Greeting from the publisher. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

Heartwarming Amish Mystery

The Robin's Greeting is the concluding book in the Amish Greenhouse Mystery series by one of my favorite authors, Wanda Brunstetter. I like Brunstetter's style of writing and her honest and redemptive approach to realistic struggles that her characters encounter. The characters are strong, resilient, and realistic with depth to their emotions, strengths, and foibles. Readers can easily connect with them. Even though part of a series, The Robin's Greeting can easily be read as a stand-alone as the author fills in the back story from the previous two books. Interest is kept high as the story continues with a nosy neighbor, a homeless woman, continued mishaps at the greenhouse, and romance with two suitors too. Which one will Belinda choose? I like how the author resolved the issues and relationships in the story. There were several, 'Wow, I didn't see that coming' moments! The Robin's Greeting is not just another ho-hum novel about the Amish. It is one that reminds readers about the importance of family, faith, and hope during everyday life, as well as during challenging circumstances. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions are my own.

Pure Bliss

The Robin's Greeting by Wanda E. Brunstetter The Robin's Greeting is the stunning conclusion to the Amish Greenhouse Mystery series, book 3 of 3. Belinda King is the owner of an Amish greenhouse, where she, her youngest son Henry and her oldest daughter Sylvia, works, to support the family since Belinda's husband Vernon, her son Abe and son in law Toby (Sylvia's husband) were all killed in a tragic buggy accident on Belinda's birthday. The whole family has had to adapt and go on with their lives, doing their best for each other and for their neighbors. Belinda is content to work in the greenhouse and look after her family and spend lots of time with her grandchildren. But, God and two very distinctive men have different ideas. Monroe Esh dated Belinda before she chose to marry Vernon. He has decided that Belinda is the only woman for him, he boasts all the time, how rich he is because he owns several Amish-made furniture stores in the area and how perfect he is for her. Herschel Fisher is a few years older than Belinda, a widower who has only recently decided that he likes Belinda, very much and wonders if she might like him as well. He owns a bulk food store in another town but finds the time to check in on the family and their greenhouse to see if they need anything done or that he can help them with. Both men set out to charm Belinda, who isn't sure she wants to remarry but continues to see both men casually, to find out if either relationship will go onward, or not. There is a vandal that has been making threats against the family and the greenhouse, with incidents getting more and more vicious as time goes on. Henry wants to call the sheriff in and let him investigate the situation and take care of it for them, but Belinda wants to pray more and is hoping that the vandals will either tire of their harassment of her family or feel guilt over their actions and come forward and confess. Belinda can't figure out who would hate her family so much, that they would do a lot of bad things to her family and their livelihood. Henry has been thought to be the culprit in the past because he has a lot of anger towards the accident that caused the passing of his beloved father and brother and brother-in-law. But as time continues on, Belinda realizes that there is no way that Henry could be the one responsible. Henry has a list of possible culprits, maybe Maude, the virtual homeless vagrant woman who helps herself to his mam's garden and even their chickens! Henry informs his mam that he is going to investigate all of the shenanigans that are going on at their place, especially since the miscreant is getting braver, going as far as into their barn and phone shack to leave derogatory messages for his family to find. Belinda doesn't want to mention the antics to her eldest son Ezekiel, because she is afraid that he'd worry and want to leave his very successful beekeeping supply business in New York and move home to Pennsylvania to take care of the greenhouse and his mam and younger siblings. This novel was pure bliss to read, Wanda E. Brunstetter is a brilliant writer who is able to capture the pureness of Amish living and develop a fascinating story that you are entertained by from the very first page. Highly recommended. My heartfelt gratitude to #ShilohRunPress and #Barbour for the complimentary copy, I was under no obligation to post a review.
