Down on his luck in what seems to be a tropical Mexican paradise, ex-pat Joel has to turn himself around before he loses his Mexican girlfriend, Delia, and maybe his freedom, too. An unexpected opportunity leads Joel into a high-paying but dangerous job. Nothing is what it appears to be as Joel delves deeper and deeper into a world of violent capos, corrupt politicians and wary survivors of a society which requires just the right mix of caution and audacity. Although distracted by a bikini-clad gringa, Joel finesses his way through one harrowing experience after another, until he finds himself pursued by a cartel kingpin. It is Delia who comes up with a plan to save Joel. If Joel and Delia can pull it off, their relationship will be saved. If not, they and their close friends might die.
