Cynical by nature, the Rider sees Lana as nothing more than a spoiled Elite daughter trying to buck her fate. It isn't until they are both caught up in the shady side of a rebellion against the Brigadier General that they begin to see something more in each other. But by then, it might already be too late for each of them.
