The names Gog and Magog that are found in the book of Revelation are also found in the book of Ezekiel and are described as an army from the north that descends upon the beloved city. Jewish Tradition identifies the descendants of the third son of Noah, Japheth as Gog in the land of Magog identified as the later day Vikings who settled in Kiev and latter Russia. The battle that escalates will bring about fire from the sky and this appears to be the use of a nuclear weapon or the use of many such nuclear devices. Today we see in President Putin's actions almost the return of the ideology of Stalin who sought a greater Russia. His move to consolidate a political union with China would be the fulfillment of prophesy 'the number of whom, is as the sand of the sea.' This Prophesy suggests a world conflict instigated by Russia. After which there will occur the Last Judgment upon planet earth.
