After Navy Seal Red Skyez's left leg was shot off below his knee in an operation that had gone bad in Afghanistan, he returned to the California Mojave desert to an adobe house built by his father.. A spring provided water and a windmill pumped its water to a tower and charged its batteries for its lights, so it would cost him virtually nothing to live there.After rehab and being fitted with a prosthesis and given a medical discharge from the Navy, he purchases a motorcycle and rides it form Los Angeles to his adobe. On the way, he stops at a bar in Red Mountain and gets into an altercation. Using his titanium prosthesis, and his Seal training, he subdues the drunken miners.After dark he goes to his adobe and finds its lights are on and vehicles parked in front of it. He discovers squatters that are in it who are scientists and thought it was abandoned and were conducting suspended animation experiments for NASA using an Orangutan and a cave by it with the required constant tempter of 70 degrees for the experiments.The beautiful woman scientist in charge tells him she will pay his motel bill if he will let them stay until they complete the experiment sow which he reluctantly agrees. Moving to a motel room in Ridgecrest he runs into old class mates from his high school days there, and falls in love with a waitress at restraint and gets a job managing a gym experiencing adventure, disappointment, success and happiness.
