It has been more than 60 years since terror rocked the tiny area of Silver Beach on the southern shores of Throggs Neck, when a monster rose out of the depths of the sea. The same monster that took the life of a young boy named Arthur (Slim) Mahoney many years earlier. It was the second Arthur Mahoney, who, was the hero of the day when he was able to slay this monster and rid the beach of it for what he thought would be forever. The sea has been quiet since that long ago time. Long forgotten are the days when terrified children stayed far from the shore back in June of 1951. Long forgotten the battle between the second young Arthur, cousin to the first, and the Giant Blue Claw.
