Great retirement book

If you or someone you know is at or near retirement, you need to read The Retirees Guide to Retirement by Michael D. Cox. In this surprisingly helpful book, the author explains, in plain language, a number of money related subjects of interest to retired folks. These include such potentially confusing and costly topics as annuities, long-term care insurance, and reverse mortgages. For example, the section on annuities includes a money saving summary of what to look for and what to look out for in an annuity contract. This little book is full of such useful information. Reading and heeding The Retirees Guide to Retirement should help you or your loved ones achieve a more financially secure retirement.

best retirement book I have read

I have read a few of these books as I plan to retire this year, but I seem to get lost with all the confusing topics. But this book was easy for me to follow and understand. It was short, but to the point. I recommend it for anyone who is as confused as I was!!!

Author makes complex information easy to understand.

Financial planning, Estate planning, Reverse Mortgages, Long Term Care, Life Insurance, Investment alternatives - These are complex subjects that make many of us cringe. Yet Michael Cox manages to explain the fundamentals in a folksy, down-to-earth manner that actually makes it understandable. The Retirees Guide to Retirement is written for those who have already retired, so it's focus is on preserving your nest-egg rather than accumulating one. But there's a surprising amount of knowledge packed inside considering it's a 112 page book.
