The Responsible Me!

The Responsible Me! is inspired by Lil Ray's journey of embracing his responsibilities. It is about a young boy reconciling his identity by taking accountability of his decisions and actions through accepting and actualizing his daily responsibilities. It is as much a message to youth of the importance of being responsible, as it is the same message to parents and role models who will read this book with their prot?g?.

The book is for children between the ages of 3 - 12. However, the message reaches people of all ages. The purpose of the book is to help children understand the meaning of responsibility! According to the Center for Parenting Education (2022), the most common desire of parents is that their children develop a sound sense of individual and collective responsibility. Responsibility is not only about the individual impact of the child's decisions/actions but also about how those decisions/actions may affect others.
