Wow

This book was really good. Predictible, but very good. It moved at a good pace, had believable/likeable characters, and incorporated a lot of fact with the fiction. I have a hard time with "historical fiction" sometimes because the writer gets so caught up in being "historically correct" that the voice of the story becomes dull and more like a history lesson than a novel. Mary Hooper did not do this. She seems to take into consideration that her readers are younger and have less patience for long-winded explanations that have little to do with the actual story.

An Amazing Book

It was a fantastic book, and the best I have read this year. This was the first Mary Hooper book I have read, but now I want to read more books by Mary Hooper. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who is 12 and above.

This is an amazing book!

Mary Hooper does an excellent job developing the character of Eliza Rose in this book. I couldn't but this book down, I read the whole thing in a few days! The book takes place in 16th century England, and you can acctually get involved with the characters and feel like you are there! This is definately a book to add to your collection, as it is beautifully written!

The Remarkable Life and Times of ELIZA ROSE

I have recently finished this fantastic book by Mary Hooper and I love it! Set in the 17th Century Mary Hooper's descriptions of the clothes, sights, smells, and general life of London are brilliant. I would recommend this book to a wide range of readers, (mostly girls), from 12, (I being 13), to adults. The journey taken by this exquisite character I enjoyed throughly and could barely take the time to put it down. I hope that you as well take the time to read "The Remarkable Life and Times of ELIZA ROSE".
