The Remarkable Five

By Richard G Edwards

The clones, The Remarkable Five, had completed High School in Harlan, Kentucky, and were now ready for college. They had played basketball for the Harlan Green Dragons for four years without losing a game, and had won four state championships. For college they chose Lindsey Wilson University (LWU) in Columbia, Kentucky. Knowing the great interest the public would have to see them play, LWU arranged for a preseason game with the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington's Rupp Arena. The publicity the clones were getting enraged Kim Jong-un, because four years previously they had defected from North Korea after Kim had planned to use them to achieve basketball supremacy. He devised a revenge plan to kill them, but it failed. He then came up with another one to both eliminate the LWU team and to steal one of the beautiful, mysterious golden anchor crosses that possessed supernatural powers. If successful, the plan could boost him to a world leader.
